Praise Him at All Times

Praise Him At All Times

Psalm 34:1-3 NKJV 1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.

As I sit here and my entire household has been feeling ill the past two days, I have an extreme desire to praise God.  My current situation is not ideal and most people would want to give up on their stand.  But, through this journey I have learned that we must praise God even through the difficult times as much as we do through the good times.  I have also learned that when the journey gets hard another breakthrough is coming.

A breakthrough doesn’t mean financial increase, a breakthrough could mean another spiritual stronghold being broken, a generational curse being broken, or maybe God just wants you to be still.  I have learned a lot through different ministries God has brought into my life, and now when we get sick I do not have fear, I truly say to God, okay I accept whatever you are doing right now.

In the absence of my husband, I could have chosen to be mad at him and lash out with hurtful and angry words because he is not here to help us.  But, instead I went to God with my feelings and accepted my mother’s help.  Out of respect to my husband, I did inform him that we were sick.  But, instead of choosing anger, I chose to be grateful for what was.  I realize that God is definitely doing something and we have to stay still during the shaking that is occurring.

Exodus 14:13 NJKV

13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.

I wanted to share this post to encourage someone to praise God even when it gets difficult and you do not know what to do or say next.  Even when it seems like your whole world is turned upside down, keep praising God, because your breakthrough could be right around the corner.  Appreciate the moment no matter how dim it may seem, trust God during the storm.

The things of this world have no power over God’s plan and what He is doing.  We must not be focused on what is going on in this world, but instead see things from the eyes of God.  Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
